country, and race walking. The Youth, Junior, Senior and Veteran athletes compete in a wide range of events on
the track in regional and national leagues in the summer, as do the cross-country and race-walking teams in the
winter. All compete in the County, Area and National championships, achieving a great deal of success for
the Club.
Members competing in the Club's
colours travel all over the UK and take part in a wide variety of local and national events, including the the
London Marathon and the Great North Run. The Club runs a special reception group
for younger members. Children from 9 to 12 can try all aspects of athletics while having fun in a safe
environment. Some compete on the track, cross-country and indoor sports hall in the winter. As they develop, our
young members can move on to more specialist training squads.
